Good morning,
At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning, there was a small fire at Winnipegosis Elementary School in the Home Economics classroom. The contents of a pot on a stove caught fire.
There were no reports of injuries.
The fire alarm was activated and students and staff were evacuated. Students were taken to the Winnipegosis Arena.
The Fire Service ensured that the fire was extinguished and students and staff were given the all clear to return to the building shortly thereafter.
